It’s almost time for summer holidays which has us thinking about one thing. How to travel with a tan and maintain it throughout the entire trip.
Here are our travel tan tips:
Tip One: Prepare your skin!
As we always say, preparation is the most important stage of tanning. And most things in life!
In the lead up to your trip, ensure that you exfoliate every evening and moisturise your skin after every shower. This will remove any dead skin cells and hydrate your skin so that once you’re ready to apply your tan, it will be smooth and even.
Tip Two: The Night Before
Apply pureTAN Dark Tanning Lotion using an application mitt the night before your trip.
Applying the tan the evening before you depart will give you the optimum amount of time with a great tan during your holiday. Plus your skin will be fresh and radiant from all the recent exfoliating and moisturising.
Tip Three: Stay Hydrated
Travel is not ideal for our skin. Hours in planes and air-conditioned cars and hotels cause intensely dry skin so it is incredibly important to moisturise as often as possible.
The more moisturised your skin is, the healthier you will be and the longer your tan will last.
And don’t forget to drink plenty of water.
Tip Four: During Your Holiday
Even though you’re on holidays, it’s important to remember to take care of your skin. You must continue to gently exfoliate every few days, as well as moisturise after every shower. And if you think this requires lugging around too many beauty products, we have the solution- our Pure Moisture Travel Pack with a mini coconut trio including organic coconut oil, body creme and body scrub. And it comes in a super cute cosmetic bag that is perfect for the beach!
Two other important things are:
- Protect your skin from harmful UV rays with a great SPF.
- Maintain your glow with a gradual tan.
Our Gradual Tan Daily Moisturiser combats these two things at once with an SPF 15, organic coconut oil for rich moisture, and a subtle tan that will keep you bronzed and radiant throughout your holiday.
Now it’s time to pack your bags and enjoy your summer holiday!
